Rail Removal
At the August 16, 2011 El Dorado County (EDC) Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board passed a motion requesting Supervisor Knight to make a formal written request to the JPA to allow removal of the rails in Segment 1 of EDC's portion of the JPA corridor. At the September 12, 2011 JPA Board Meeting, the JPA Board directed staff to prepare a letter for the JPA Chair to send to the City of Folsom, Sacramento County and Sacramento Regional Transit forwarding El Dorado County's request to remove the rail. At the November 14, 2011 JPA Board Meeting, the Board determined that the member agencies either denied El Dorado County's request, or supported opportunities for both rail and trail usage in the subject segment of Rail Corridor.
